Hey,
i`m having no problem mounting SD(A) devices but somehow /dev/hda
simply doesn`t exist.
even stranger. the only h named thing in the /dev folder is hpet
(/dev/hpet).
/dev should contain hda till hdz and it doesn`t contain any of those.
is this a bug? or do i need to install a package first?
i`m running rawhile with the latest updates.
The rawhide kernel uses the new PATA/IDE subsystem, which (like the SATA
subsystem) goes through SCSI layer. All disk devices are /dev/sdX now.
To sum up:
/dev/hdX = old and busted
/dev/sdX = new hotness
