Shouldn't Tripwire be replaced by another package, that is the
successor of Tripwire? I don't remember its name, but (long ago)
I got the impression that Tripwire was not actively maintained
anymore and/or had some licensing issues and that there existed
a fork/successor of it.
The successor/replacement is called "rpm -Va" plus SELinux. ;)
No, seriously, other projects like AIDE (also in Fedora Extras as "aide")
have not seen a lot of progress as to beat Tripwire by lengths. There's
also the problem of prelinking, which confuses these integrity checkers
and their users.
