I suppose members of the list don't see them in their mail clients,

mailing lists I subscribed to, there doesn't seem to be much noise (I
searched a couple classic spammy phrases in each). Maybe the mips
list is not monitored?
I forwarded your post to the list owners... they are at least the first
line of folks to talk to about this.
If they can't clear things up, then an infrastructure ticket and we can
see what we can do from there.
