A friend that subscribes to the list sent me this email. I would be
interested in helping with awstats. I love Perl, but I don't know if
thats all it takes. Could you please tell me what the responsibilities
would be.

Having had an initial look at awstats I'm sort of impressed (ok the
fact
that clicking on the demo got me most stats in Welsh might be bias
8))
Featurewise it looks a lot better than webalizer, its analysis and
exports
seem to work far better although its a fair whack slower on a small
box.
The big downer is that is in perl, so needs a perl fan inside of Red
Hat
willing to own it and also to audit the code since its indirectly
exposed to the outside world.
