I'm just wondering: Why was the
"rpm-dubbleclick-to-install" feature
removed from FC2? It worked quite well in FC1 and RH9, and made
installing RPM's much easyer for newbies. Will this tool (or something
similar) be included into FC3, and if not, why? If there is anything i
can do to help, please tell.
The GNOME mime stuff changed and broke things. It should come back in
FC3 once someone tells me how it's supposed to work now ;)
I am also wondering if there is any plans to include a (one of the)
grapichal frontends to yum.
There have been a few threads on this... realistically, the best option
is getting the work done so that system-config-packages sits nicely on
top of the new yum stuff. Not going to happen for FC3 at this point,
though.
