Upstream has obsolete mate-dialogs for mate-1.10, zenity is the repacement.
Oh, ok. I remember using zenity a while ago and then switching to
matedialog (for some reason I don't remember). zenity seems to work
fine, though I get even more warnings then with matedialog:
$ zenity --warning --text="blub"
(zenity:11925): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: The property GtkMisc:xalign is deprecated and
shouldn't be used anymore. It will be removed in a future version.
(zenity:11925): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: The property GtkMisc:yalign is deprecated and
shouldn't be used anymore. It will be removed in a future version.
Gtk-Message: GtkDialog mapped without a transient parent. This is discouraged.
But that's a different story...
Thanks for the clarification!
