Hello,
What changed would need to be made to the current Fedora.us package
autobuilder so that it could build packages for different target
architectures? Maybe if the packager notes in a Bugzilla submission that
such-and-such package should be built for (say) i686 to obtain MMX
support, then the package could be added to a 'compile for i686' list
which the autobuilder will consult when building a package?
More ambitiously, perhaps a package should provide hints of which
processor features it could make use of (MMX, SSE etc.) and the
autobuilder will then build it for the relevant architectures *in
addition* to the standard i386?
This is not necessary for apps that autodetect CPU features like
Mplayer, of course.
Regards,
Michel
