OK, now I understand.
The call to mock also lacks a "rebuild", i.e.
mock -r fedora-8-i386 .... rebuild *.src.rpm
I've sent a patch to makefile.common to fedora-buildsys-list. Didnt know
about this usage of mock, or would have had this fixed up before I
released mock 0.8.
