Sure, but it might be not a great experience if not enough people watch both or move to discourse. ie, people asking questions there or starting discussions and no one answering them.
So, if people want to discuss in discourse, great, but I don't think we should create a vast sea of empty topics until/unless people are needing them.
Yeah, it's kind of a chicken / egg situation - you're not going to know
until you throw something out there and let people give it a whirl and determine how it works for them in a real world situation - not some lab mockup. The Foreman results that Matt posted earlier appeared to indicate it would be worthwhile to try.
