Ok, I check kernel listing and I see both f7 and f6 kernels, but I then check firefox, thunderbird, mysql, php and I only see f7 packages so maybe things are ok. How can I be sure though with so many packages?
Kernels are supposed to be multi-installed.
if you have yum-utils installed run:
package-cleanup --dupes
that will tell you. -sv
# package-cleanup --dupes Setting up yum No Repositories Available to Set Up kmod-nvidia-100.14.11-1.2.6.22.5_49.fc6.i686 kmod-nvidia-100.14.11-1.2.6.22.5_76.fc7.i686
Is this normal? It said no repositories.
yes, the no repositories is normal and having multiple kernel modules is not abnormal. However, using the nvidia modules is always a bad idea.
