It seems like this is the place to introduce myself. Please excuse if I’m not doing something right: this is my first time contributing to any major FOSS project. I’ve been a professional developer for about 8 years, most of it spent at Intel, but the last couple years I’ve been working at Jaguar Land Rover’s Open Source Technology Center, which really sparked an interest to get involved.
Anyway, I’ve submitted my first package for review (something being developed by someone at Red Hat, no less), and I’d love for people to tell me everything I’m doing wrong :-) You can find it at:
Thanks for any help! It’s much appreciated,
I am a student at Bard College at Simon's Rock. I have been an active
part of the core GNU/Linux community growth at the school. I am a
subject tutor and technical developer for the Computer Science division
at the school. I have worked on various free software projects both
internally and externally.
I am looking for sponsorship to enter this package into the Fedora
I have a copr that requires external repos for devtoolset and autotools
to build EPEL packages. I added the external repos, and it used to work
fine, even though there had to be separate repos for EPEL5 and EPEL6.
(It's a collection of many things with all the targets in the same copr
-- maybe that wasn't wise?)
Now I've added an f23 target, and builds in that fail with errors of
this form, presumably because of dnf:
DEBUG util.py:377: Failed to open: /var/lib/mock/fedora-23-x86_64-mockbuilder-7219/root/var/cache/dnf/x86_64/23/ftpscientificlinuxorg_linux_scientific_6x_external_products_softwarecollections_basearch_/repodata/updateinfo.xml.bz2.
Does anyone have a workaround for that to allow keeping everything in
the same place?

Before Jamie left he sent this:

sometimes I'm searching for new packages on KOJI, for example for new
kernels, but I see only a "Finished" column (beside others) on the
specific website. It would be helpful if the "Finished" column could
display a little bit more: The time of *starting* the package generation
or the time when the generation has *finished* (with/without error), so
one could guess the remaining time of package generation.
I would be grateful for such an improvement.
