fedora-create-review
by Pierre-Yves Chibon
Hi,
Some time ago I was speaking with Tibbs who mentioned such a tool, so I
wrote a small script this week-end called fedora-create-review. The idea
is simple:
- from a spec and srpm
- start a koji scratch build
- if build worked
- upload to fedorapeople.org
- create the bugzilla ticket
- Add the koji build in the bugzilla as a link
- otherwise:
- warn user
There are a couple of option such as --no-scratch-build or --koji-target
or even --rename-request.
The instruction to upload the files on fedorapeople can be set in
~/.config/fedora-create-review (generated at the first run if not
present).
The code is hosted on:
http://ambre.pingoured.fr/cgit/fedora-create-review.git/
with a mirror on github:
https://github.com/pypingou/fedora-create-review
If there are not too many bugs, it might be interested to include this
script into fedora-review.
Hope this helps,
Pierre

pychess licence changed from GPLv2 to GPLv3
by Bruno Wolff III
When double checking the LICENSE file shipped with 0.10.1 final I noticed
it was GPLv3 instead of GPLv2 as noted in the spec file. I am not sure
exactly when the change occured.

gcc-4.7 linking failure: undefined reference to foo
by Julian Sikorski
Hi,
I was trying to build mame (an rpmfusion package) with gcc-4.7. I have
managed to get it to build, but it fails at the linking stage:
obj/sdl/libocore.a(sdlsocket.o): In function `operator new(unsigned long)':
/builddir/build/BUILD/mame-0.144u5/src/emu/emualloc.h:114: undefined
reference to `malloc_file_line(unsigned long, char const*, int)'
obj/sdl/libocore.a(sdlsocket.o): In function `operator delete(void*)':
/builddir/build/BUILD/mame-0.144u5/src/emu/emualloc.h:131: undefined
reference to `free_file_line(void*, char const*, int)'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
The same code builds with gcc-4.6 just fine. Were there any changes in
that regard?
The source RPM can be downloaded here:
https://share.ols.inode.at/HA19LXBVKCKBMUFIVMLO7TRLY6SYZR6G36PN41IN
Full build log:

Thank you for help in advance.

libzrtpcpp build faild: missing openssl/ec.h
by alekcejk@googlemail.com
Hi,
I tried to build libzrtpcpp-2.0.0 (see http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/ccrtp/ ).
But it is impossible to build it in Fedora because
openssl/ec.h is disabled in openssl which is build with no-ec option.
libzrtpcpp/crypto/openssl/ZrtpDH.cpp:46:24: fatal error: openssl/ec.h: No such file or directory
Is it possible to build openssl with enabled openssl/ec.h?
If this is impossible is there any workaround for building libzrtpcpp-2.0.0?

GCC 4.7 build issues: error: no matching function for call...
by Richard Shaw
openCOLLADA is failing to build with GCC 4.7 in rawhide and I was
hoping someone could point me in the right direction for a solution.
Below is the build log snippet.
Thanks,
Richard

Question about retiring a package
by Chris Adams
I want to retire shmpps in Fedora 16+, leaving it in F15 and EPEL. I
haven't retired a package, so I wanted to double check the process. I
should just retire the F16 and devel branches and that will leave the
rest active, right?
I'm retiring it because it is no longer needed. shmpps is a hack to get
PPS time signals into ntpd on systems without kernel PPS support. The
Linux kernel now has PPS support, and Fedora 16 includes the userspace
tools, so I don't see any reason to keep this package around.
