in the mock config you're using (/etc/mock/.....) look for:
config_opts['yum.conf'] = """
[main]
cachedir=/var/cache/yum
debuglevel=1
reposdir=/dev/null
logfile=/var/log/yum.log
retries=20
obsoletes=1
gpgcheck=0
assumeyes=1
and change debuglevel=1 to debuglevel=3
and then look at the root.log and look for lines that contain:
"time:"
that will tell you how long is being spent in each section
post those times.

OT: writing gobject-based plugins
by Christoph Höger
Hi,
I am currently playing with gobject to learn some of this boilerplate
stuff. For my small application I'd like to be able to write plugins
that are derived from an abstract class.
I can enumerate those plugins with g_type_children(), but only after
they have been instantiated.
Is there a way to enumerate classes before this point? Since C has no
runtime system at all, this would require some macro magic I guess...

Missing multi-lib -debuginfo files.

Hello all,
I'm trying to debug an issue with 32bit application running on top of

libsemanage : does not adhere to Static Library Packaging Guidelines
by Carl Gaudreault
Hey, can someone take a look at this bug report on Bugzilla ?
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=556073
Carl
Quoted from Michael Schwendt <mschwendt(a)gmail.com> :
The package is in need of an update because it does not adhere to
the guidelines for packaging static libraries:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:Guidelines#Packaging_Static_Libra...
The -devel package contains both the shared and the static build of
a library. That makes it possible to link statically with the -devel
package as a build requirement instead of having to build-require a
special-purpose -static subpackage.
Correct would be to either disable/delete the static libraries at
build-time, or to %exclude them in the %files section, or to split off
a -static subpackage (if there is a compelling reason as why the static
libs should be made available).
Please consult the guidelines for the details.

Proposed change to openmpi packaging
by Doug Ledford
We are discussing the complete removal of pkgconfig support from openmpi
(and never including it in mvapich and mvapich2 which are ready for
Fedora package review submission). The proper way to invoke mpi
compiles is through the use of the mpicc (or equivalent) compiler
instead of directly via cc/gcc with -I and -L -l statements. The reason
is that the proper list of things to pass to gcc may vary from build to
build and while mpicc is built each time and is always in sync with the
options used to build the mpi package, the pkgconfig files are handled
manually and subject to bit rot over time.
If there are objections, please raise them now.
