Hi, i've have some open reviews which need a reviewer.
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=924310 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=924263 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=924279 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=924377
They were already asigned but the reviewer told me that he has any time to review them, so i reset them to sero. It would be very nice if someone has the time and motivation to review them.
Thanks in advance
Wolfgang

The usual way to deal with this is to ask for a review swap, you cannot expect people to review your packages, without ever doing a review in return, that would mean some people would be only ever doing reviews without ever getting any of their packages into Fedora, which just does not work.

Hans

Touche. I've had a package waiting over six months for a review, but I was able to get three packages in, in under a day by doing a review swap.
There will occasionally be people who do reviews for the pleasure of doing so. For the rest of us, there's debit mastercard. Umh, I mean review swaps.

Well, we could just decide to do 2 reviews for each review we receive and this would solve the issue nicely.
( and in fact, I only do reviews without putting more packages )
I've made a lot of RPMs but now I can't say when they all can be reviewed.....

First of all I think it is great that you are contributing so much packages, thanks for all your hard work!
As I tried to explain in my original post, the review process works best if people swap review, lets say I've 3 packages I want to get in, and you have 3 too, then I review your 3 and you review mine 3, and then we've 6 new packages, and the work load of reviewing is distributed fairly, for each package for which you receive a review, you do a review yourself.
I currently don't have anything which needs reviewing myself, but I've a whole list of things which I would like to package when I find some time. Once I've those packaged I would be happy to swap some reviews with you.
In the mean time I suggest you pick a couple of packages from your to-be-reviewed queue, and send a mail to devel@lists.fedoraproject.org with as topics "Review swap for XX packages", and then a short description + bz link per package. As Alex said earlier in this thread you will be amazed how quickly you will find people willing to do reviews for you, as long as they get a review in return.

Hans

Hi Hans, ohh and sorry, i never know about this practice in fedora, i'am a newsbee of admin stuff in fedora. Thank you for pushing me in the right way. So i will rename my request in a REVIEW SWAP. I'am really happy to review packages in return and in general.

No worries, I was trying to coach you in the right direction, and I'm glad I succeeded in that :)
Thank you for pushing me in the right way.
You're welcome.

Hi Wolfgang,
Hmm, you may want to send another mail with a subject of just Review Swap and where you're slightly more verbose about your intent to swap in the body of the mail, as well as give some more details on the packages you're looking to swap for.
Only having the words REVIEW SWAP in the Subject + only links in the body may be a bit a bit unclear.
Anyways I would like to swap with you...

I would be happy to review any one of these 4 (you pick one, and I'll review it), in exchange for:
Bug 962813 - Review Request: funguloids - Space-Flying-Mushroom-Picking-Simulator game
Spec URL: http://people.fedoraproject.org/~jwrdegoede/funguloids.spec SRPM URL: http://people.fedoraproject.org/~jwrdegoede/funguloids-1.06-1.fc19.src.rpm Description: Never before has collecting mushrooms been this mildly entertaining. At least not in outer space. It's more of a lifestyle than a game, really. Now with graphics and sound, too!
Seriously though, we like to think the game as a space-flying-mushroom-picking-simulator. Well no, "Those Funny Funguloids!" is actually a nice little piece of entertainment. You collect mushrooms, bring the back to your home base and profit! That's the basic idea in a nutshell. It has smooth, appealing 3d graphics and nice atmospheric sound effects. Go ahead and try it out - it has sounds too!
