Hi,
Just to let you know some things maybe issues...
When I tried to yum upto dev it complained about perl, xchat, foomatic
So I excluded them from the update, once the update was done, X will not run and I get glic detected if I try to login on a shell using runlevel 3... Is there any fix I can do or should I rebuild my machine...? it a amd64.
Thanks,
Si

Boot single-user, run prelink -u /lib64/libc-2.3.4.so, then update to today's glibc and you should be all set. There's a bug in glibc-2.3.4-7 that breaks prelinked start-up badly on amd64. 2.3.4-10 seems to be fine.

Boot single-user, run prelink -u /lib64/libc-2.3.4.so,
I meant /lib64/ld-2.3.4.so /lib64/tls/libc-2.3.4.so, sorry.
