I plan to retire xmms before F20 is branched as it is causing issues with the removal of some other obsolete packages and it has no upstream support.
If anyone has objections to this please speak up soon.

Have you seen DJ Delorie's replies in the other thread? (The first one is dated earlier than your message, so I have to wonder whether you missed it.)
(Note that I personally don't care about xmms at all and most definitely do NOT want to maintain it.)

There were objections so xmms will stay around. Also I was confused, I have xmms-pulse not the base xmms package. But since people want xmms, I'll keep xmms-pulse around as well. Though I could use help with the volume resetting every start up issue if someone wants to look at it.
