my co-developer has even troubles working with eclipse while firefox/thunderbird on KDE is running on a notebook with 4 GB memory because after some hours the machine starts to swap and get partly unresponsable
and now the default will add additional memory pressure?
well, do what you want, as said i am able to fix such misconfigurations, but stop believe such "features" are good for the majority of userbase
