Sigh. I guess we'll have to fuzz it one way or another. We'll have to check for certain impossible things, too, like that full-length EISA slot in a laptop.
In general, I don't think you need to use DMI for anything other than:
- system type - system model/serial number - bios mfr/rev
Any of the other stuff (memory installed, slot types, etc.) is either mostly irrelevant, or can be gotten by other means.
