[Fedocal] Reminder meeting : Council (Open Floor)
by mattdm@fedoraproject.org
Dear all,
You are kindly invited to the meeting:
Council (Open Floor) on 2018-02-28 from 09:00:00 to 10:00:00 US/Eastern
At fedora-meeting(a)irc.freenode.net
The meeting will be about:
The Fedora Council will hold our regular Open Floor meeting at 9:00am
US/Eastern in #fedora-meeting on irc.freenode.net. All are welcome!
To convert to your local time, run:
date -d 'TZ="US/Eastern" 9am tomorrow'
Open Floor meetings happen every other week. They do not have a
preset agenda. Instead, we spend the first few minutes of the
meeting deciding what topics will be discussed. If
attendees — Council members and otherwise — have several topics
of general interest, the primary meeting chair (usually the FPL
or FCAIC) will put them in order, and after a certain amount of
time discussing the first, ask if it's time to move on.

Closing private pagure tickets
by Radka Janekova
Hello,
Please do not close private pagure tickets opened in order to discuss
something sensitive before the discussion is actually over - agreed that
its over by the person who opened it up, and others in the council. This
kind of decision can not be taken by a single person.
Closing such ticket means ending the discussion prematurely as nobody will
keep track of it anymore.
Best regards,
Radka

when is good for meeting THIRD TRY
by Matthew Miller
Okay, I've updated this with half-hour slots. We still need an hour for
the meeting, but hopefully the little bit of added flexibility will
make it more possible for everyone to make it. When I made the change,
it changed everyone's response to _only_ include the half-hours
starting at the top of the hour, so everyone needs to update :-/

(If you don't have your update link, just make a new response and make
a note to me to delete the old one.)
Sorry for this, but this appears to be a particularly non-overlapping
set of people's schedules this time around.

Hey, where's the FPL? (End of February, beginning of March)
by Matthew Miller
Oh yeah. I'm taking a couple of vacation days the next two days, and
then I will be going to the Docs FAD, and then to the Mindshare FAD.
And I think probably sleeping for a few days after that. So, I'll be
missing the next few Council meetings and generally less available than
normal. I'll be on IRC and try to get to email, but I intend to really
focus on the FAD topics while I'm there, so expect slow replies.

meeting schedule and objective checkins
by Matthew Miller
Right now, we have a repeating plan of
* Open Floor
* Tickets & Ongoing
* Open Floor
* Subproject Report
I'd like to do more to support our Objectives -- especially if we add
an IoT one. We could add a regular section on this in the "ongoing"
part of "Tickets & Ongoing", but I'm afraid that if we do that we'll
never get to tickets. And we could use subproject reports, but I want
to connect with other/wider parts of the project with those. So, what
about one of:
A. Replace one of the Open Floor meetings with a Objective Checkin
meeting (with time allocated to all current objectives), or
B. Have a mini-report from one of the objectives on a rotating basis at
the beginning of every Open Floor meeting.
What do ya'll think?

[Fedocal] Reminder meeting : Council (Open Floor)

Dear all,

Council (Open Floor) on 2018-02-14 from 09:00:00 to 10:00:00 US/Eastern

meeting time
by Matthew Miller
Okay, so, currently, no time works. I suppose that is no huge surprise.
I'm going to do this again with the times which work for at least 4
people, and I'm excluding Jan since he's moving on soon not for any
personal reasons. :)
Can we try one more time, from this restricted set? Maybe there's some
cases where we all can shuffle around. And please let me know if any of
these times are absolute killers. We may need to move to alternating
times on different weeks so we get full coverage.
Anyway, round 2, please:
http://whenisgood.net/fedora-council-2018-take2
(And I think we'll keep next week's IOT presentation at 9am US/Eastern
— that's actually one of the times in the running still.)
