Will Fedora Raspberry Pi have armhf "hard float" optimizations ?
From what I can see [1] RPi distribution that support these
optimizations have much better floating point performance.
no it will be sfp only
we build our armhfp rpms for armv7 which means they wont run on the
raspberry pi as it is armv6 while armv6 has a floating point unit it is
also not compatable. armv6 has a v2 vfp and armv7 has a v3 vfp. to
build a compatable hfp distro we would need to recompile everything and
have a 3rd set of base arches, its really not a very practical option.
other than the pi the only other devices that are v6 are phones and the
via APC. while i expect there will be quite a few pis out there its
not likely to be a long term sustainable port.
