successful bootstrap of gcc-java

Hello, After a couple weeks of trying this build on 128Mb hardware, my new 256Mb beagleboard finished this in less then 24 hours. (with no source changes to gcc-4.3.2-7.fa4.src.rpm ) Since i wasn't sure it would actually complete, i didn't run the test suite, so i'll try to rerun it with that enabled this week. Hello all, I'm new to the ARM world, but I've been reading up a bit and am looking into purchasing a beagleboard (http://beagleboard.org/) as a learning platform and possibly to do something useful once I've learned enough. I was hoping I could get some direction towards materials on learning to develop for the ARM platform, most importantlywith respect to fedora. I've read the fedora wiki page on the ARM architecture as well as the toolchain page and was just hoping to find some guidance from there. I was also wondering if there was an outline somewhere of work needing to be done for the Fedora-ARM project so that I may contribute once I am able. rpmbuild gcc rebuild error

Hello, I'm attempting to setup a mock chroot to build both armv5 & armv7 rpm's based on the current fedora-arm fc-10 work.. (to get fc11 built) In the process of rebuilding all the dependices for mock, it seems gcc is failing on my arm hardware (beagleboard, cortex-a8). I'm using (1) gcc-4.3.2.-7.fa4.src.rpm, rpmbuild didn't complain about any missing dependices. Used: "rpmbuild -ba --clean --target armv5tel gcc43.spec" in as minimal root filesystem as possible.. RPM build errors: File not found: /home/voodoo/rpmbuild/BUILDROOT/gcc-4.3.2-7.fa4.arm/usr/lib/gcc/armv5tel-redhat-linux-gnueabi/4.3.2/include-fixed/libdevmapper.h File not found: /home/voodoo/rpmbuild/BUILDROOT/gcc-4.3.2-7.fa4.arm/usr/lib/gcc/armv5tel-redhat-linux-gnueabi/4.3.2/include-fixed/X11/Xw32defs.h File not found: /home/voodoo/rpmbuild/BUILDROOT/gcc-4.3.2-7.fa4.arm/usr/lib/gcc/armv5tel-redhat-linux-gnueabi/4.3.2/include-fixed/openssl/bn.h Full log is available here: http://rcn-ee.homeip.net:81/dl/fedora/build-issues/gcc.log 1: http://ftp.linux.org.uk/pub/linux/arm/fedora/pub/fedora/linux/releases/10/E… Since it takes a little bit to rebuild this, i'm going to try add those missing header files and rebuild. armv4 build

I am new to this list. I have an embedian boad with a Samsung S3C2440 32-bit ARM920T Core using an ARMv4 instruction set. Has anyone build fedora-core-10 for this processor? Is this a reasonable thing to do? I don't see instructions anywhere on how to do the build myself. I have downloaded all the source rpms, but down know how to get the build started. Any help will be appreciated. I scanned the mail list archive and didn't seem to find anything on how to get started. Gregg

Fedora-ARM Koji Setup

We are in the process of setting up a koji Shadow Build server for shadowing builds from the main Fedora Build server. Hello, I have just received my QNAP TS-109 II, an Orion based NAS server, and I would like to install Fedora on it. Do we have any instructions how to install Fedora/ARM on real hardware? LWN/The H: http://lwn.net/Articles/321396/ Engadget: http://www.engadget.com/2009/03/02/touch-book-from-always-innovating-harbor… Website: https://www.alwaysinnovating.com/home/ They apparently sponsor some open-source projects recently: https://www.alwaysinnovating.com/company/opensource.htm I just asked them how much RAM are in the devices -- as it's based on the Beagle Board, it might unfortunately be only 128MB/256MB. The website and downloadable schematics does not quite say. The schematics is based on revision B.5 too, which means USB controller bug, but hopefully they'll fix that before the final product is out.
