Oh! That sounds like GNOME Shell crashing. Hmmm. It ought to work. Did
you make any changes? Like to the runlevel or desktop session?
It could be bug 810040 . Try removing the fprintd package if it is
installed, as gnome shell crashes on many virtual environments if it is
present.
