Hi Milan,
Installation CD has kernel-BOOT...i386 so you can use this one. In
the
updates there is no reason to release kernel-BOOT as no RHN user needs
rebuild installation CD but needs update kernel-BOOT.
The -BOOT kernel is not normally used on installed systems. I could
use an i586, i686 or athlon kernel on an i386/i486 because they are
instruction compatible. The problem is that neither of these
automatically get installed during installation which causes even a
minimal install on a i486 to take a long time because of the missing
dependency.
