Hi Kevin,
Enabling SWCursor seems to have done the trick. Is this a bug in Xorg?
Thanks!

Miles,
Well I believe I am running the same driver as you, the i810 driver, and
I don't have to have that setting. However, I am running with compiz
enabled rather than metacity (I don't know what you are running). Here
are the settings I have in my xorg.conf file.
Section "Device"
Identifier "Videocard0"
Driver "i810"
VendorName "Videocard vendor"
BoardName "Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express
Graphics
Controller"
VideoRam 131072
Option "XAANoOffscreenPixmaps"
#Option "MonitorLayout" "DFP,NONE"
EndSection
You may want to double check that and look in /var/log/Xorg.0.log and
see if the i810 driver or the intel driver is being loaded. It is
possible that a bug snuck in the latest release.
Kevin
