adapters is...different. It's almost out of the realm of possibility
that there's a bug that affects your adapter and my adapter - but not
many other adapters - that somehow affected yours at kernel 3.8 and mine
at kernel 3.9. That would be a hell of a heisenbug :)
Mine started being affected at 3.7, actually. Only 3.6.11 and the original
3.6.10 work.
