I filed
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=993637 against util-linux.
It looks like things got fixed somehow. (Though I did need to use an old
version of dracut to create working initramfs images. But that is a separate
bug.) The issues I was having with sound devices, also appears to be fixed now.
