What is wrong with that actually? With raid0 I may run grub on
another disk myself. If one disk fails there is then still a chance
that you boot another one without getting into a rescue business.
Could be handy.
Sure, it's possible that it could boot, or that you could run grub on
some other device. But the FS should be in a consistent state when we
run grub from the installer, and if it's not, something is wrong.
