Hi David,
What's the difference from the shell's aspect?
I have no idea. Unless the 'terminal' for Xfce is differnt from the
terminal that you use.

1. BTW, sudo both
sudo yum groupinstall "LXDE Desktop"
and
sudo yum groupinstall 'LXDE Desktop'
work as expected :-)
2. I gave it a trial:
sudo yum groupinstall "Cinnamon Desktop" Loaded plugins: langpacks,
refresh-packagekit Warning: environment Cinnamon Desktop does not
exist. No packages in any requested group available to install or
update
sudo yum groupinstall 'Cinnamon Desktop' Loaded plugins: langpacks,
refresh-packagekit Warning: environment Cinnamon Desktop does not
exist. No packages in any requested group available to install or
update
Kind regards

I may have missed this but is this a fresh install? My Fedora 19 is
the branch from Rawhide (made with Clonzilla) and I can 'find'
Cinnamon Desktop in both of them.
