how do we *specify* that we do
not what the MBR updated. The simplest way I could think of is to use
an anaconda boot option similar to using "extlinux" for anaconda to
install extlinux rather than grub2. Maybe "nombr" or "nombrupdate"?
This would be a simple way to specify it and have things work for
kickstart and non-kickstart installs.
Comments?
Maybe "protectmbr"? I really like Mandrake->Mandriva->Mageia's cmdline
option
"readonly=1" that skips any need or opportunity to use the
"partitioning"
segment of its installer and does no (IIRC) disk writing anywhere other than
already existing volumes selected for inclusion in fstab.
