Hi Antonio,

Aspire one netbook. I have encountered several
difficulties, but I have overcome some of them.

partition. I used xfce Livecd from Adam Miller, it resized
the XP partition beautifully everything worked except when
grub was written the partition that was booted was the
restore partition and I overcame it by changing the (hd0,0)
to (hd0,1) and I could boot XP again. Here's how I
modified boot/grub/grub.conf

Known problem. See

Thanks for this, I'm trying to document netbook hardware to
create
some netbook support matrix.

when starting up booting hangs and I get immediate kernel
panic.

have to press and hold power button so that the machine can
shut down properly. Other than that, I am running rawhide
on a netbook :)

I'll try my best to answer them accordingly to my
experiences with it.
Does the wireless work OK?
I need to test this a bit more. The wireless areas show up, but I have to test it some
more because I have not connected with it much and like I have said in another mail(to
AdamW and list), the inservices at school don't let me play some more :(
What about the rest of the
hardware?
Touchpad works, left and right clickers(for mouse)
work[don't know how these things are called]. My friend got me a USB dvd[rw]/cd[rw]
drive and it works. I have yet to play cd's or dvd's, but I will try to play them
as soon as I can. The monitor gives me like 1024x600 or so resolution(This matches what
XP gives me).
