'Minimal' seems to me to relate to the amount of stuff that gets
installed. It doesn't seem to offer a legitimate justification for
having the stuff that was installed not actually _work_.
networking should function if you bring it up with ifup, etc. The network
service isn't started by default, because anaconda does not have code
to enable/disable services based on package set.
