VENDOR tag does exist and it should be used for this information.
rpm -q ---qf exists to get access to tag strings.
rpm --querytags to get a list of tags to use
I find it *incredibly* useful for this information to be in the filename.
It may not have been intended and it may be a hack, but that doesn't mean
it's _bad_.
It's also good for the vendor tag to be correct, of course, but gah,
currently that's a cesspool rivaled only by the mess that is "Group:".
