The freezes I've seen have happened after boot and without me closing
the lid at all so I think this is something separate.
The "hang" after suspend/resume looks like it could be something like
this though. Hitting caps lock turns on the led at least. I still can't
even shut down using the power button or ctrl+alt+delete.
I'll look at the reports above and comment if it seems relatede.
I've been having problems with my system locking up completely after
(usually) less than a minute requiring a long press of the power button
to be able to reboot.
I'm on a Dell Laptop with and ati chipset, so if this is the same then
it may not be an 'intel' thing.
I've looking into the X log, but it doesn't seem to contain anything
useful for reporting.
This has been a problem for about 6 weeks (in my case) but with limited
time and having been away for the past three weeks, I haven't had a
chance to report and had hoped it would resolve in the 3 weeks I was
away (it hasn't).
I've even had these lockups when in a VT (with X still running in
background).
