That sounds like it fits what I see. In that case, the answer seems to be to
see if the CRC matches what is in the database for the other package that
lays claim to the file. If so, leave it alone.
So, I moved on to removing kdebase....
[root@spirit ~]# rpm -q --whatrequires kdebase | grep i386
OK, good...nothing needs kdebase i386
[root@spirit ~]# rpm -e kdebase-3.4.91-2.i386
error: Failed dependencies:
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins is needed by (installed)
HelixPlayer-1.0.4-4.i386
Huh? That wasn't stated by the first command....
[root@spirit ~]# rpm -q --whatrequires kdebase
kdepim-3.4.91-1.x86_64
kdebase-devel-3.4.91-2.x86_64
kdegraphics-3.4.91-1.x86_64
kdeutils-3.4.91-1.x86_64
kdenetwork-3.4.91-1.x86_64
kdeartwork-3.4.91-1.x86_64
kdeadmin-3.4.91-1.x86_64
kdeaddons-3.4.91-1.x86_64
kdemultimedia-3.4.91-1.x86_64
HelixPlayer is not stated here either.
[root@spirit ~]# rpm -qf /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
kdebase-3.4.91-2.i386
