Is it possible to set an empty password on my gnome keyring?
I know it's a security risk, but here's my rationale:
I have some Windows machines on my network, and for some obscure reason
they ask me for a username and password in nautilus when I access them.
Another Windows machine accessing them doesn't have to supply a password
(or perhaps the password is hardcoded in Windows). To access the Windows
share I just use the username Guest and the password Guest.
Why can't gnome also have "Guest" hardcoded into itself, and if that
fails, ask the user?
The point is that the username and password are not really secrets,
they're just another annoying thing to type to get access to an
effectively public resource in my network.
I want to be able to access the shares without typing in anything, even to
gnone, and even once per session. I'm slack. :-)
