So far, it only covers editing /etc/default/grub.d, 40_custom and using
custom.cfg.
Typo:
grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
should be
grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg
for Fedora
