firefox x86-64 crashes on print
by sean darcy
Upgraded to fc6.
rpm -q firefox cups
firefox-1.5.0.7-7.fc6.x86_64
firefox-1.5.0.7-7.fc6.i386
cups-1.2.4-9.x86_64
If I try to print anything from firefox, the print dialog
comes up, but on clicking "print" firefox crashes, tho the
page does print!
Nothing in syslog.
I've b'zzila'd this : 209938 but no response.
I've tried both i386 and x86-64. Same result.
If I start if from /usr/lib64/firefox-1.5.0.7/
I get
./firefox
./run-mozilla.sh: line 131: 20051 Segmentation fault
"$prog" ${1+"$@"}
Obviously no one else is seeing this, or the b'zilla entry
would have lots of traffic.
So it must be something strange in my setup.
Any hints?
BTW, everything else prints fine, including opera and
konqueror. SeaMonkey has the same problem.

Gnome/Emacs: <ctrl>-_ not working?
by Leif Hedstrom
Hi,
I'm running "rawhide" FC, and as of about a week ago or so, the key
bindings for "Undo" in Emacs (<ctrl>-_) no longer works (it echoes back
an _ character). I'm 100% positive I have not changed anything in my
.emacs configurations. I'm using Gnome, so I'm guessing something is
intercepting the key before it hits emacs?
Any ideas?
Thanks,

gui not booting - rawhide.
by Mick M.
Hi;
I upgraded from test to FC6 via DVD.
Worked fine.
Then I changed the devel repo to:
http://fedoraproject.org/mirrors/fedora-core-rawhide
and did a 'yum upgrade', also worked fine.
Now when I boot up it hangs with:
STOP SIGN
"The greeter application appears to be crashing.
Attempting to use a different one."
OK box
after a bunch of retries:
"The dsplay server has been shut down about 6 times in the last 90
seconds.
It is likely that something bad is going on.
Waiting for 2 minutes before trying again on display :0."
My video card is a radeon 5200se.
xorg.conf:
Section "Device"
Identifier "Videocard0"
Driver "nv"
VendorName "Videocard vendor"
BoardName "nVidia Corporation NV34 [GeForce FX 5200]"
EndSection
thanks
Mick

Unable to use yum currently
by Paul F. Johnson
Hi,
For some reason, yum isn't able to grab the rawhide updates on my box.
It comes back with it being unable to find repo development and repo
extras-development. The exact error is
Error: Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: development
The repo file has
mirrorlist=http://fedora.redhat.com/download/mirrors/fedora-core-rawhide
and a similar one for FE. Has this changed?

Problem with xscreensaver on rawhide
by Paul F. Johnson
Hi,
I'm not sure which component control this, but the rawhide update today
(26th Oct) seems to have borked xscreensaver. Simply put, you can't
enter the password to unlock the system and have to restart X to get
anywhere.
What do I need to file a bug against for this?

Ok, so you just ran the ipw3945.sourceforge.net stuff and it added to the
kerenl, right? Did you have to do anything with 80211 bits?
Thanks, thats good to hear it can at least work. A lot of googling has come
up with that it doesn't work with Xen, so good news :)

Xen Kerenl + ipw3945
by Justin Conover
Does anyone know if the ipw3945 wirelss card has worked or can work with a
Xen kernel. The ipw3945 bits from freshprms.net work fine with FC6 kernel,
but if I boot using the Xen kernel than it does not work.
Thanks,
