Hi all,
When we initially packaged GAP and a few of its packages, we followed the
Debian naming conventions. I now think that was a mistake. I would like
to rename a few of the packages before we add any more. In particular, I
would like to do this:
gap-Browse => gap-pkg-browse
gap-character-tables => gap-pkg-ctbllib
gap-io => gap-pkg-io
gap-sonata => gap-pkg-sonata
gap-table-of-marks => gap-pkg-tomlib
Since the GAPDoc and xgap packages contain binaries of the same names, I
propose leaving them with their existing names.
Does anybody have any objections to this plan? Thanks,

Hello,
I'm Christian, a physics student at University of Marburg (Germany). I
added myself to the SIG as I'm interested in free software for
scientific use cases and really like the Fedora Scientific Spin. Some
weeks ago I created packages for scidavis and its dependency liborigin2,
but there is no review right now :( Could you have a look at it? Thank
you in advance :)
