I see jspaleta was meaning to package this. Feel free to take it for Fedora if it's any good.

Interesting! Would you mind to file a review request and maintain the package in Fedora as a packager?

Unfortunately, I can't. Too many responsibilities at the moment (OLPC, 1 year old son...).
I do hope to submit some patches to TurtleBlocks (formerly known as TurtleArt), which works nicely in sugar (and outside of sugar too, all you need is gtk), to make this excellent GUI programming environment be able to export NXC code. And I plan to add enough glue so that there's a "put in my NXT brick" button.
If this works well, we'll have a very high quality graphical programming env for NXT.
Consider

Hi,
I will try to give this package a look and get it into shape for submission. It looks fairly straightforward, and most of the legwork is done. I should be able to find some free time in the next couple of weeks to work on it.
Rich
Jeff, listmembers,
ok, if anyone's happy to co-maintain, I'll post the spec for review.
Is anyone at Fudcon? (I think jeff is) I'm here with a lego nxt and interested in hacking on this.

I did spend a little time the other week looking at the specfile you posted, and I did have a couple of minor corrections. If you want, I can post it for review when I get home this afternoon, and sign you on as a co-maintainer. If you'd prefer to see the review through, I can give you the changes I made, and let you put the spec up for review.
Rich
I'm definitely not a Fudcon. I just came off the ice in Antarctica haven't actually made it home yet for a variety of reasons.

As promised, I've uploaded my modified specfile/SRPM. You can find it both at:

I can submit this for review if you don't want to, otherwise feel free to use my changes my changes.

Hi Rich!
Did you submit this one for review? I'm happy to be co-maintainer (can we both get added?)

Hi all. NXT-Python 2.1.0 was released earlier today. There have been a number of improvements since 2.0.x. From the Versions wiki page:
"Added multithreading capability, support for 2 new HiTechnic sensors, hostname parameter in in scripts, silent mode in nxt.locator module, alpharex example, and cnc example. Tweaked the digital sensor code for 2x faster sampling on USB (Bluetooth is still slow)."
Which about sums it up. Also, I have decided to change things so that the PyPI packages do include the examples directory and install.bat. This is for consistency's sake. Everyone update and look for problems!
This project as a whole is doing very well. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the code, wiki, or mailing list and of course those who reported bugs.
Oh, and migpics: Use this version for your pancake maker. It has improved multithreading support.

Sorry about that. I was waiting for feedback from you to see if you wanted to post the review. I've gone ahead and done so, you can find it at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=677496
I'd be happy to add you as a comaintainer once the package is accepted.

Hi Rich!
Has the review progressed? I don't think I have the karma or experience to be the reviewer. Anyway, I've just filed a review request for a trivial lego-udevrules https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=689961 so that nbc and nxt_python can coexist...
Happy to comaintain, anytime :-)

Hi Martin,
There have been a few comments on the package, but nobody has picked up the review yet. These review requests take time, especially if you're not actively soliciting for reviewers. I may have time to solicit for a review swap sometime soon, but until then I'll have to wait and see if anyone picks it up.
Once lego-udevrules gets approved, I'll be happy to edit nbc to require it instead of providing its own udev rule.
Rich
