Hi,
The problem they tried to solve is that when building from git repository
make would complain that there was `no rule to make target pam_access.8`
and such errors. The cause of this should be that `ENABLE_REGENERATE_MAN`
was not enabled because of missing xsltproc program so that
`Make.xml.rules` was not included.
There is no such error when building from release tarballs as those files
were already built and included there. And I though because of this those
2 patches can be safely dropped if you prefer it.
BTW. I just found that the ninth patch about replacing `strndupa()` was
not secure. An updated version was attached.
