The motivation for splitting this package out is that it'll be
built
(presumably much) less
often than the systemd package. So the release numbers will get out of sync.
And in fact systemd-boot does not need to match the systemd version: we
generally want
to update it whenever there's a new version, but it could be before or after
the systemd
This is why it should be a separate project/source upstream to systemd, the
bootloaders are statically linked PE-COFF/UEFI binaries so won't use libraries
etc from systemd, it will by definition have different CVEs and different code.
With a different repo it can release when it has new features/fixes and be
independent bumps which is especially useful for dealing with CVEs.
