No, I'm suggesting that /boot/efi be HFS+ - there's no requirement that it be
the EFI system partition. The secure boot side of things is something that
we're going to have to manage on non-Apple EFI platforms, and we don't want to
build separate grub images for the two situations. The nvram information is, as
far as I've been able to tell, used by some of the Apple UI tools rather than
being something necessary for the firmware, but that's something we may need to
play with. The Firmware.scap files are firmware update capsules. They've
probably been dropped there by the Apple software update utility.
