--- Comment #50 from Kevin Kofler <kevin(a)tigcc.ticalc.org> ---
I think the current situation, where we have only a working AAC codec with a
complete decoder and whose freeness is undisputed (the FFmpeg one) in RPM
Fusion, is just fine, and actually better than additionally having a crippled
AAC codec with a questionable license (which AFAIK has still not been sent to
the FSF for comments) in Fedora that will only make users unhappy (and make it
harder for them to find the working codec).

Robert, I can only disagree (but I'll update, I'm glad that you go through
the review).
As a provenpackager, I basically shouldn't touch patches and if, I should
really know what am I doing. Opening the patch itself is really trivial
and natural habit. IOW, I really dislike duplicating the info given by
(a) patch name, (b) git format-patch output and link pointing to upstream
discussion.

Please add a comment for the patches *in the SPEC*. The goal is to inform
someone reading the SPEC, a proven packager needing to intervene on your
package for example, what the patches do without needing to go look at the
patches file themselves.

This may not be a *perfect* solution, but it would allow at least some AAC
support OOTB. Having considered the options here, I completely agree with
Wim's proposal. Can we get this back on track?

Summary: Review Request: pgdbf - Convert XBase / FoxPro
databases to PostgreSQL
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Component: Package Review
Severity: medium
Priority: medium
Assignee: nobody(a)fedoraproject.org
Reporter: pahan(a)hubbitus.info
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: package-review(a)lists.fedoraproject.org
Spec URL:

SRPM URL: http://rpm.hubbitus.info/Fedora25/pgdbf/pgdbf-0.6.2-1.fc26.src.rpm
Description:
PgDBF is a program for converting XBase databases - particularly FoxPro tables
with memo files - into a format that PostgreSQL can directly import. It's a
compact C project with no dependencies other than standard Unix libraries.
While the project is relatively tiny and simple, it's also heavily optimized
via profiling - routine benchmark were many times faster than with other Open
Source programs. In fact, even on slower systems, conversions are typically
limited by hard drive speed.

Summary: Review Request: python-fypp - Fortran preprocessor
Product: Fedora

Reporter: dominik(a)greysector.net
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org

https://rathann.fedorapeople.org/review/python-fypp/python-fypp-2.0-1.fc25.…
Description:
Fypp is a Python powered preprocessor. It can be used for any programming
languages but its primary aim is to offer a Fortran preprocessor, which helps
to extend Fortran with condititional compiling and template metaprogramming
capabilities. Instead of introducing its own expression syntax, it uses Python
expressions in its preprocessor directives, offering the consistency and
versatility of Python when formulating metaprogramming tasks. It puts strong
emphasis on robustness and on neat integration into developing toolchains.
