Description:
ITK is an open-source software toolkit for performing registration and
segmentation. Segmentation is the process of identifying and classifying data
found in a digitally sampled representation. Typically the sampled
representation is an image acquired from such medical instrumentation as CT or
MRI scanners. Registration is the task of aligning or developing
correspondences between data. For example, in the medical environment, a CT
scan may be aligned with a MRI scan in order to combine the information
contained in both.
I've been using the library for a while and I thought I might contribute this
back to the Fedora community.
I need a sponsor because this is my first package!

Questions:
1 - v3p/netlib dependency not removed because of heavily modifications seems to
be heavily modified from the original sources. The changes are documented in
v3p/netlib/README
2 - v3p/dcmtk exists an rpm package at http://dicom.offis.de/dcmtk.php.en but
there is none in yum and neither there is a review request. Should we try to
package it as well?
3 - v3p/mpeg2 is different from Fedora's one: it misses at least:
mpeg2dec/video_out.h
mpeg2dec/mm_accel.h
Moreover the FindMPEG2.cmake file shipped with cmake 2.6.4 search lib livid and
libvo, but none of them are available from yum.
