Summary: Review Request: alsa-plugins - backend plugins for alsa sound system
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=222248
------- Additional Comments From mclasen(a)redhat.com 2007-08-06 19:59 EST -------
Initial comments:
- I second Lennarts comment about maemo - is it useful to package that plugin
without any other part of maemo in fedora ?
- OSSO DSP SW <--> ALSA DSP plugin
========================
Don't put ascii formatting into the %description, please.
- BuildRequires are per source package, there is no reason to put them
into the subpackage sections (of course, it doesn't hurt either)
- Requires: alsa-lib
is unnecessary, since library dependencies pull it in anyway
- The license tag needs some work; GPL is no longer a valid value for
that field, it should probably be GPLv2+. But some of the plugins
appear to be LGPLv2+, so maybe it would be better to put license
tags in the subpackages according to their actual licenses. In fact,
all but the samplerate plugin appear to be LGPL, not GPL.
- What is the touching in %prep about ?

[Bug 199405] New: Review Request: vtk - The Visualization Toolkit - A high level 3D visualization library
by Red Hat Bugzilla

Summary: Review Request: vtk - The Visualization Toolkit - A high
level 3D visualization library
Product: Fedora Extras
Version: devel
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: normal
Component: Package Review
AssignedTo: bugzilla-sink(a)leemhuis.info
ReportedBy: Axel.Thimm(a)ATrpms.net
QAContact: fedora-package-review(a)redhat.com
Spec URL: http://people.atrpms.net/~athimm/fedorasubmit/vtk/vtk.spec
SRPM URL: http://people.atrpms.net/~athimm/fedorasubmit/vtk/vtk-5.0.1-8.at.src.rpm
Description:
VTK is an open-source software system for image processing, 3D
graphics, volume rendering and visualization. VTK includes many
advanced algorithms (e.g., surface reconstruction, implicit modelling,
decimation) and rendering techniques (e.g., hardware-accelerated
volume rendering, LOD control).
Expected rpmlint output:
o E: vtk-* script-without-shellbang *.cmake
I'm not sure why rpmlint detects cmake files as scripts.
o E: * zero-length */hints
That's inherited from the upstream sources. Maybe having an empty hints file
is needed, but I will ask upstream. Keeping it for now.
o E: vtk-testing.* script-without-shellbang .*tcl
Is it worth fixing this?
o W: vtk-devel unstripped-binary-or-object <wrapper dirs>/*.so
debuginfo processing missed this as these are place in non-standard folders.
Manually strip and have only half a debuginfo worth of symbols, hack into
debuginfo generation, or maybe simply allow these devel files to carry the
symbols?
o wrong-file-end-of-line-encoding on an windows file in the examples doc.
The examples contain a couple of non-Linux parts, but I don't want to castrate
them. Maybe someone will develop on several archs.

Summary: Review Request: ustr - String library, very low memory
overhead, simple to import
Product: Fedora
Version: devel
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: medium
Priority: medium
Component: Package Review
AssignedTo: nobody(a)fedoraproject.org
ReportedBy: james.antill(a)redhat.com
QAContact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: fedora-package-review@redhat.com,notting(a)redhat.com
Spec URL: http://people.redhat.com/jantill/fedora/ustr.spec
SRPM URL: http://people.redhat.com/jantill/fedora/ustr-1.0.0-2.fc7.src.rpm
Description:
Hi, I already have a couple of packages, so hopefully this shouldn't be too bad :).
rpmlint gives a couple of warnings, but they should be ignored AIUI.
Micro string library, very low overhead from plain strdup() (Ave. 44% for
0-20B strings). Very easy to use in existing C code. At it's simplest you can
just include a single header file into your .c and start using it.
This package also distributes pre-built shared libraries.
