Actually this idea I've been hearing for many years now that Canonical inherently
does not face software patent issues because it is not *based* in the US makes no sense.
Whether Canonical actually avoids software patent issues or not is
academic, at best. They think they do, they act as if they do. We _know_
that we cannot do these things.
