Hi,
It does, if you have chosen Japanese language package in the customize package
in anaconda. You can also install the language pack through
system-config-packages.
After that, check and make sure you have the IIIMF server up and running
(service iiimd restart) then you can restart X and add GIMLET applet, you
should able to input Japanese.

on fc3 i could never use the japaense input method, the only way it
