Hmm, strange. I can reproduce here too though, X property looks sane:
$ xprop -root | grep _NET_SUPPORTING_WM_CHECK
_NET_SUPPORTING_WM_CHECK(WINDOW): window id # 0x1e00062
$ xprop -id 0x1e00062 | grep _NET_WM_NAME
_NET_WM_NAME(UTF8_STRING) = 0x58, 0x66, 0x77, 0x6d, 0x34
Property is certainly set Xfwm4 but it complains me "There settings cannot work
with your current window manager (imsettings-xim)" as you said. however
imsettings definitely doesn't touch that property at all. I'm not really sure
where Xfwm4 gets it from.
