I am not sure whether this makes sense or not, it doesn’t bother me,
I don’t really care one way or the other here.

I just tried it again, it is the input source which was active in the
window which has focus when one logs out.
For example, if I have two windows
- gnome-terminal, input source rusle
- gedit, input source translit
When gnome-terminal has focus while I log out, rusle will be the
default when logging in next.
When gedit has focus while I log out, translit will be the default
when logging in next.

I don’t know.
Rui Matos tells me that Gnome 3.14 will not remember the input source
used last anymore on the next login:
<rtcm> mfabian: gnome 3.14 now defaults to the first usable input source, this
is a change from how it worked previously
