I see no advantage in changing the global font size.
While selecting the correct Kanji, I have to look carefully at all the strokes.
But once that I have chosen a Kanji, looking at the global form is enough to
recognize it.
I don't know if Apple OS still has this feature but I remember having seen that
when scrolling over the statusbar, only a small region under the cursor was
enlarged. Maybe this could be added as extra feature the the cursor. Not only
students Japanese would appreciate such a feature. Also visually handicaped
users would profit.
